Quick question regarding insurance ncb..

Hiya guy's just had a quick question regarding insurance no claims bonus's. My insurance is up today, i've phoned them to send me a no claims certificate as i wont be getting insurance for a while. But i haven't ever received a no claims certificate for the past there time's i've insured my car. So i was just wondering is this info stored on a data base?.

I'am only asking because i was wondering if a insurance company wanted to proof of my 4 yrs no claims i would only have this one certificate to prove this.....

Thank's in advance for the feedback.

New insurance company would normally phone your old insurance company.

Normally says on your renewal schedule what no claims you're entitled to. You just send this to the new insurer once you've taken their cover.

+ 1

Some insurers won't accept "old" NCB, but most will accept up to 2 years out of date.

Also for those unaware, if you dont use your no claims bonus for two years you lose the entitlement

In any case you new car insurance company will check your claims record from your CLUE report. They will automatically know you haven’t made any claims in the last few years.
