It's only a matter of time - wrong place, wrong time... I currently do not have front plates on mine and I went 5 years with only a warning at the EWR airport with my last bimmer...

Thanks for all of the replies! I think I will go with the gominigo bracket. I don't like the idea of drilling into the front bumper. And I don't need anymore Police attention after I have the front side windows tinted.

Photo of the gominigo bracket installed. Not as nice as no plate but better than holes in the bumper! Thanks for the info.

If you get pulled over by cop and them pricks gave you a ticket just go to a bodyshop get a receipt just state that recently you did your front bumper due to a accident and the reason why you don't have a front plate on is that BMW ran out of brackets they will dismiss the ticket
