Me, will have the old tripod out ready for some digital trackday memories.....there are some good vantage spots to be had.

I am sure it will be a good day.....

F**k it.

I am in, I will contact Nick on Monday when I have more time and can ring for insurance etc first - Carl/Steve who is best/cheapest etc? What sort of premium am I gonna end up paying as I guess its not entirely based on the usual age/NCB and I am guessing I will be asked about advanced courses, previous experience etc...?

It may be a 'noisy day' but you will be flagged off and sent home if you can't get it down under 105db

... this has livened up a bit since I last looked and it seems that bmwbailey has answered everything well enough on my behalf. Thank you for that.
The bloke who thinks he will be Billy no Mates has nothing to fear at all - we are very friendly! In fact I should say that most of us here did our very first trackday alone without knowing anyone else there.

LOL - she was fine! She is incredibly patient and understanding of my 'hobbies'!

In fact, the reason she joined me on that trip was that it was our anniversary so it would have been a bit harsh to leave her at home...instead I take her on a fun filled trip to the 'ring!!

Yes...I know what you're all thinking; what a lucky girl. I know, I know...I really know how to treat her!

Anyway, I will be on my own on this one...will confirm attendance for definite tomorrow.

True Carl...very true!

However...Vicki wasn't in the car and I wouldn't be 'allowed' to go that fast if she was!

At least I can get some tuition on the Croft trackday (I hope??) and I've now got some decent rubber.

haha.

I realise I have only ever met people from NM2 off here, but this isnt a FORUM event as such, its just a BMW event... and whilst I am sure there may be a few people interested in a 350bhp Diesel who dont come from here... well, it would be good to speak to people who do.

So if there is yourself, Spin, maybe a few more and we kinda organised something it would be a bonus for me - you know coz then I would have some assurance that I could have some banter.

Its is my first time after all Steve

Matt
Matt, come along mate, I have only met the Guys once before which was at Snetterton last year so we are hardly close, all I can say is that all that attended that day were a real friendly bunch and no reason why this event will be any different, be good to see you there, we can discuss dark things like Diesel etcc

Slight fly in the ointment - i may have just sold my M3!!! Very similar situation to my 997 C2S - ive been offered a very very good price for the car and im about to accept a holding deposit for it - i have to transfer my private plate but if it all goes to plan then i could be out of the M3 within 2 weeks. As its a BMW only track day and im not entirely sure whether my next move will be a BMW or not yet - then i may not be able to attend this track day afterall?? Steve

Mate - you're coming now, in a wheelbarrow if you have to!

Just let me know what you will be using as soon as you know so I can change the entry list.
