Installed ercp+synapse bov... expected it to be louder?!?!?!?!?!

Well I heard that tial q are the quietest bovs and sqv's are the loudest, and somewhere in between are the synapse bovs.
I brought mine after seeing that video on youtube:

So I have installed it today and I'm.... dissapointed. It has nothing to see with that video.
Seriously I have expected it to be louder. I mean i can barelly hear it even with windows down. I first thought that there was something wrong with the installation so I rechecked on everything and everything is perfectly in place.
Is the bov that quiet or am I the only one experiencing this?!
And is there anything that i can do to make it louder?
I dont have a surge so I didnt feel like tweaking it, or should I?
I dont have a boost leak.
Btw Im not stock, I'm have a JB+, so god knows if you can hear it @ stock boost...

When i first got it:

Hearing it after installing it:

LOL

I have ER CP and tial bov and it is very noticeable with the windows down if I shift up at any rpm higher than 3K.

Jb+ isn't that much boost to blow off. You would notice an increase in noise with running more boost.

You may want to look into a JB4 or another tune that runs more boost.

PS That video is severely enhanced, I believe the Microphone is in the engine bay. Nobody's car sounds like that in real life driving around.

synapse DEF uses a mic closer to the engine. making it sound louder. no way you can hear that much engine noise from the interior with windows closed.

they got you! But if you want it louder. take off engine cowl and get a set of intakes. super BOV and turbo sound

Well the bov came in with silicone vac hoses plugged from both of the synapses ports to a plastic Y pipe then from the Y pipe to the manifold
so I just plugged it into the manifold.

I have installed dci too.. Ill try removing the cowl, but is it recommended in locations where it could rain? I heard that you shouldn't remove the cowl if there's rain?

You should keep the cowl on. Without it, water will run down into the engine and turbo's.

It's a 6 speed. That definitely helps.

I sold my synapse bov because it was too loud. Its crazy loud (like a bus)at 15psi, and around 10psi its pretty loud. I was able to hear it even shifting at 2k rpm... gets annoying after awhile.

I've been riding with no cowl for about 6 months. Rain and shine, stills runs fine.

wish mine was 6speed, Ill have to convert mine to manual then. Not just because of the bov, I just prefer the 6 speed, its better at everything.

Install the diverter flange without the diverter hose. It will make it sound louder. I'm not home now to post a pic... Without the diverter flange the synapse BOV doesn't sound much

If you have an auto you're really only going to hear it when you let off the accelerator and the throttle closes. That said, I'm not sure about 13psi, but one of my DV recirculation hoses ripped so I just pulled them both off and plugged the intake side, and at 18psi with open DVs and DCI it's as loud as that video when I let off the accelerator...it clearly doesn't blow off between shifts though.

I was running the bov with the silicone vac hoses that came with it - however it kept coming off of the manifold. Anyone else experience this problem when running 18psi?

Automatic will not be as loud as a 6 speed. It (auto) holds a lot more boost between shifts.
