It's a non bmw dealer quote of course they will low ball you...
Take it to BMW or post it on craigslist / autotrader for a private sale.

Crappy economic times. Trade in values are based on wholesale price which is much lower then blue book. For comparision, I traded my 2006 Lexus IS350 (sport, nav, and ml) with 33k miles for 23k on December 26.

On the bright side, new cars are cheap. I purchased a 2009 e92 6sp, sport w/ 19, prem, nav, ca, cold weather for 500 over invoice.

The used car market has crashed along with real estate and new car sales. Try selling it to a private party if you have the time or try selling it to CarMax. I've sold 2 cars to CarMax and both times they gave me more than trade in value at the dealer.

Sounds about right to me. 2007 335i's are selling in the high 20s. The dealership has to make money on your car when they take it as a trade-in.

yeah me neither, that's only a deal for someone desperate for money. Wait til you find a quote you find more appealing.

private party sale will be much higher around 28-30k or so.....I'd rather put it in auto trader or ebay motors or something rather than get done up by the stealer

Yeah the car market sucks for our cars for trade in. I was going to trade mine's in on a cpo 335i at Bmw, when they told me what they wanted to give me for my ride i left and ordered rims for my 328 and said to myself i guess your here to stay

23k trade in is pitiful and insulting. I'm sure a private party sale will yield a reasonable price. Coupes are a bit harder to find in the midwest and southwest (outside California) so I would list it on Autotrader and Cars.com. You might get a long distance buyer.

Good luck.

Private party sales is best way to go. Carmax actually offered 22k for my lexus. BMW gave me 1k more. I did not want to go through the hassle of private sale.
