If you're inclined to buy some at some point, there are replica 162s you can get that are cheaper than OEM (try a search here). Also, you can often find people selling the OEM dirt cheap on the "classifieds" threads, as they upgrade to aftermarket wheels.
Thanks for the tip on the classifieds. I'll keep an eye out for a deal. I really do like the 162s.

Awesome pictures of your car by the way. I especially like the one of the headlamps.

I'll just have to be content with what I have

I can see myself replacing the rims, but probably not going through the effort of getting that other stuff replaced. I find my seats to be comfortable, the wheel turns, and the suspension seems great to me. My previous car was a '95 Volvo 850 so of course everything in my 330i feels like a huge upgrade.

The steering wheel in my car doesn't look any different than the sport wheel. Is it something other than looks that makes it different?

The trick will be keeping myself from driving a car with the sport package, lest I become rife with jealousy.

Thanks for the info though.
It does look different and its slightly thicker. Here are a few pics

Kinda new here. Here is my Bimmer.

I have a split armrest and rear fogs on order from Tischer; the armrest is on back order! These mods are my Christmas presents from my wife and kids.

This is my second Bimmer; but this one is much more enjoyable to drive!

Do a search here. Moisture/fog in the headlamp assembly has happened to a bunch of E9x -- not a 330i thing, but a BMW xenon thing. This seemed to happen most often to people's cars when they were new, but then it goes away. I haven't heard of anyone saying it led to adaptive headlamp failure.

Interesting - I had it in my car when it was new and it, in fact, went away.

thanks. I took a closer look at the right assembly today. It apears to be stuck pointing to the left while the left side is facing forward. It looks really odd while driving and can be a problem. I don't suppose there is a way to manual adjust the beam left and right is there?

Joy Turns to Tragedy... For Now...

Dude. Last friday I bought the only nice car I've ever owned:

'06 330i
Sport Package
Nav
36,900 Miles

While my body is 44, my common sense is about 12...

So after work I'm heading up one of those awesome curving on ramps... People ask "how fast?"
Answer: "as fast as I could go."

Naturally, with 5 days experience in the only non-human treasure I like more than my iPhone, I ate it.

I slid into the curb with both left wheels. Hard. No body damage, but jacked both wheels, steering, suspension stuff, etc. In $2500-$6000 it will be as good as new they promise...

I, am an idiot.

This is it in its glory, pre crash:

OUCH!

Well, your car looks beautiful. Here's hoping you get it back quickly and with no drama.
