Guys whoever says paint wont stick must have don something wrong. I sprayed my trim over 2 years ago and it still looks great. Very minimal chipping and no peeling as suggested by some.
Wipe down the trim with Goof-off and then sand with 600 grit. Wipe down again and start the plasti-dip spraying process. I put about 6 light coats on mine. Spray with the doors open as others have suggested.
I have done this on 3 cars without any issues at all. If you get a few chips you just spray the plasti-dip into the cans lid and touch up with afine brush - you cannot see the touch up after it dries.
Good luck

i too realized that plasti dipping the trim on an e90 was different. someone should do a seperate DIY. i was bout to do it till i realized there was chrome when you opened the doors. i might try to do it with doors open and see what happens.

It works fine. Just use lots of tape and newspaper.
