hey guys, just got my front lip/splitter done tonight. took a while be we got there!

so this
is the Version 1 of the lip for our cars, it can be made to fit on whatever bumper you have, M Sport, M3, stock.
Now, I didn't particularly like the look of the Version 1, so I approached Flow Design and asked if they could make me a custom lip. So here is Version 2.

I like the more aggresive look of this design and they used my car as a prototype for it and I think it looks great, exactly how I wanted it. Doesn't pull too much attention but it makes the car look subtly more aggressive and also protects your bumper or existing lip from scratches and cracking.

First they needed to take my bumper off and trace around from cardboard. I then got to draw what I wanted, a rough sketch and then they used the file they already have for the M3 lip and cut it out using a cardboard cnc type machine.

They then took measurements to align all the bolts and screws and started to sketch my design in CAD. Cut out a few more cardboard prototypes to check the fitment and to be happy with the look. Then came to fun bit of using a properly huge CNC machine to cut out the lip and polish it and all that. The final result is this

I think it'll look even better once I'm lowered next week but as of now i still love it, and knowing I won't be needing to get it repaired or anything since it won't crack is even better haha.
I'll also be going in for side skirts some time next month or so to finish it off

Cheaper, more durable but less baller version of the vorss lip.

the springs won't be in sadly because I've been busy at work this whole week, so either the coming week or the week after the springs will go in. CP + BOV still not arrived yet either

Can I ask how much the lip cost, if you don't mind me asking??

I am thinking about getting the Aero lip, but I hate the big gap under the middle of the bumper, and I would only be satisfied if I could get a lip that would fit like this:

But then I read in the V1 group buy that it was $300 - $500 which is fucking ridiculous.

$350 is outrageous for a CNC'd piece of plastic.

installed my springs tonight! thanks to Kaleel opening up his shop after hours and helping me with them (pretty much he did it while i watched and asked questions lol) also to me being scared when he told me people have died when spring compressors fail :/

car looks 1000000000000x better now with no wheel gaps. We didn't realise it would be that low, couldn't get the hoist things off it when we put it down so had to improvise haha.

It sits nice and even and I was surprised on the first drive and it rides quite well. I honestly can't tell much difference over my stock M Sport springs until you hit a big bump/pothole and bottom out and hit the bump stops, you'll defiantly know when you've hit one!

I personally wouldn't mind the front being a little lower, just a tiny tiny bit, but it's still good enough for now

heres a couple of iphone pics I took at the shop once we were finished!

and here's me struggling to get into my garage

also sanded back and painted my rear hubs so it's not all rusted anymore and repainted my brake calipers black
