So my cousin has been charged for murder...
It's been a crazy six months for myself and my family:
Mother in law passed away Grandmother passed away Lost my job And now my cousin has been charged for murder. My phone isn't letting me copy paste the link but just Google Jonathan Alonso Miami Beach. Long story short, he is 30, his lover was a 61 yr old man and the police found him Wednesday with multiple stab wounds and body decomposing. I've know my cousin since he was born. Has had a few bumps in the road but never in a million years could I have imagined he would commit murder. The 61 yr old was a patient of my wife (small world) as he has had heart complications. I've reached out to Jonathan's siblings and they are in shock as well. However, my heart goes out to the victims family. Very sad. |

No, diiferent cousin. I haven't heard from him ever since I denied him help a 2nd time. I just cannot get it out of my head, making my head hurt like hell. This guy was very nice to my cousin, took care of him financially for sure and murders him? My wife and I had Thanksgiving dinner with them at Jonathan's parents house two years ago, sweet guy. I'm at a loss for words.

First i thought this was an April Fool joke. Then I realized it's April 8th.
It sucks but depending on how close you guys are, I'm not sure if you should feel terrible about it. You should feel for the victim's family yes. I personally am not that close with any of my extended family members so if, God forbids, any of them were to do something like that, I would be like "that sucks to be him/her." |

Condolences to you and your family and the victim's family too. Never know what life will bring and it sucks when something bad happens. For you to lose a grandparent, a parent, and have something like this happen, all in a short time frame, is truly overwhelming for the family. Take care.

We haven't seen each other in a year, though I do feel bad for the victim/his family and I'm just shocked my cousin would do this. Will I visit him in jail? I would since the whole word will turn against him (rightfully so) but he is family and I'll show him I'm there for him. Now I need to find out the services for the victim so I can pay my respects.

He has been formally charged? The news article updated this evening says he has been detained for questioning.

Jesus Christ.
Oddly enough - a friend of family friend (also gay) was just found tied to a chair, shot in the head, in his apartment in Mexico. You've been dealt a shit hand this year. At least you've still got your immediate family amigo, and the cesspool that is OT. Head back home and we'll do some Merit runs. |

First degree murder with no bail. In the state of FL, first degree murder only consists of two sentences, life in prison and/or the death penalty.
Also this is where my mind gets boggled. He killed Louis Piper (his boyfriend) probably last weekend, stayed in the condo until Wednesday when neighbors complained about a stench and left with Pipers dog and was found at a park close to where I used to work. He was acting erratically and had cuts, bruises on him. He never gave a statement and had to wear a mask while being detained as he was spitting on officers and disabled security equipment. Terrible, he deserves the gas. |
