Teaser... painted these (plastidip) over the weekend. Blacked-out winter setup. I'm planning to put these on the e83 in the next couple weeks.

FYI, 4 cans of plasti-dip... 1 per wheel. I did not paint the inner barrels.

Apparently, these e83's built just like the e46, and they're far more bulletproof than the e9x's. My mechanic (at BMW) said he rarely ever sees any problems with e83's, and the only thing (and most common) he sees are problems with the transfer case. This is because the owner towed boats/trailers with these cars, and they're not really meant for this. Other than that, he said these cars are much better built than my e90 -- which is overridden by BMW's notorious electrical gremlins.

My mechanic said the same, sadly I can't find one around me with good spec (Xline, sport seats, sport steering). Most are overpriced Msports with high mileage or some really basic cars with cloth and manual. I don't know what to do, I am guessing an awd car is not so easy again for me to find (in my budget bracket).

^ nice car man. The search is probably harder for you since you're in Estonia. I'm quite happy with my fiance's x3. it's got quite a bit of miles on it, but i still have a year of warranty left - so i have no complaints. I also did a long trip this weekend 500+ miles, and the car did just fine. I highly recommend the sport seats - they are unbelievably comfortable. and if you take the thigh-rest out, it becomes a lounge chair lol. Good luck w/ your search! It took me a month to find the one i wanted/loved!
