E8x/E9x Climate Control Panel CHROME KNOBS

Hi All,

Heater control panel with REST button from an '08 E92.

It should fit most cars in the 3 Series & 1 Series range. Basically the plastic fascia surrounding the buttons clips off from the back, and then the relevant E9X/E8X one from your old unit swaps straight on - the fascia is different from car to car dependant on whether you have iDrive etc.

So as long as you have your own fascia already in the car, this will fit!

I am not sure about whether it needs to be coded etc.

Looking for £40 incl postage.

Aren't these standard on a E9x.... unless you have a D3 - then it'll require wiring & coding?

Dunno - some people seem to buy the chrome ones as their's are brushed metal effect, or in some 1-series they are just rubber.

Most of them are plug and play and does not require any coding, if that helps.

Thanks Makkan - you are indeed correct, as I never bothered to code it when I connected to my car (but then realised it wasn't the control panel at fault so replaced the old one and decided to sell this).

Indeed, early 1 and 3 series had black plastic knobs (up until late 2006). I did a direct replacement in a 1 series; i should imagine its the same in the 3.
