German Engineering = broken grille parts

So I finally manned up and bought some a flat black grille for my car. Install is simple, 6 total screws for the moustache and pop out the kidneys from the bumper. First freakin screw I go to take out just spins. I'm wondering if I did something wrong, but the other two on that side come right out. Try the other side and another screw just spins. Freakin ridiculous! So since I wanted to change the grille no matter what, I ended up having to bend and break the brass inserts out of the moustache pieces, the grab the insert with a wrench to get the screw out. So my stock grille is now trashed. Looks like the very thin plastic that the insert was molded into broke, allowing it to spin freely. Probably the installer than tightened them too much. Seriously, how hard is that job and someone screws it up.
