typo = lever not level sorry. its just the lever and not the entire kit. if you go with the msport shifter which includes the boot, you only need the actual lever since the oem ssk kit includes a new boot, shifter, short shift lever, nylon clip and circlip (you can reuses the stock nylon clip/circlip).
the full oem ssk kit is $183 which would save you a few bucks if you opt for alacantra boot/shifter combo. i have the perforated msport shifter/ebrake handle to match my msport wheel which is just personal preference. either way you you go, both are much better then stock imo and you notice/appreciate these daily.. anyhow, all the mods listed are pretty simple to dyi which would save you additional labor costs. i see your from the nw, so any help you need installing, give a shout.

Well for <$400 you can do an M3 wheel and shift knob. Two simple, clean mods that make a big difference in the driving experience everytime you get in the car. Two of my favorite mods. The m3 wheel cover (not pictured here) is another ~$90 from Evan at Tischer BMW

I spent this morning not doing my job and researching the CDV and i'm leaning towards doing that. I'm thinking that and the short shift lever would be good to do at the same time. My friend who owns a M3 has a guy he ususually goes to for installs, but i'd love to learn how to do these things myself as I don't really have any experience with working on cars. If you'd be willing to get together some time (probably a month or so from now when i get all the parts in) i'd love the help with the installs and would love to see another e90! |

btw snap, i really like those wheels with the red. I saw some red angel eyes (i think they were actually lumenux and the reviews were pretty crappy), but your car would look sweet with red angel eyes ... not that it doesn't already!

i would pass on the splitters especially if you plan on going with mtech, etc down the road. lux on the other hand are a great mod and look outstanding imo. you will get more comments on just those alone. replacement halogen fogs are inexpensive (sub $30) as well.

which replacements should i get for the fogs? that would best go with the lux? (ive tried reading 1000000000000 threads on this but i think i only managed to confuse myself between e92, e90, xenon, HID (xenon i guess?), and whatever else there is to confuse my brain haha)

your e90 uses the following; drl - h7 12v 55w, fogs - h11 12v 55w. if you end up getting an mtech bumper, the fog will be hb4/9006 12v 55w. hope that helps.

Hey fellow Washingtonian,
Lux are one of the best mods you can do other than rims and suspension, and blacklines was an essential pick-up I'd go for the matte black grill, too. Trust me they are worth it! Lastly, aluminum pedals can liven up the somewhat dull e90 interior. |

With $1000 you should wait a couple weeks and go with this http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112405

Was talking to my friend last night about radar detectors... probably don't need a Valentine here in Washington tho... i'm really starting to lean towards ebaying the 162's and RF's and getting new rims and tires. the RFT's are killing me.

i would try the marketplace here for your wheels. i pretty much had mine sold local before my car arrived. they go from 1000 to 1500+ depending on condition. i sold mine intact with tpms, caps, etc for 1500 which basically covered the cost of 19" csl reps and generals. not a shabby trade off there..

pick yourself up a bmw mobility kit or conti comfort kit. its an affordable solution compared to a 5th spare for those w/o rfts. would save some space/weight to boot.
you could also pickup a donut as well but i believe it requires a spacer for brake clearance.
