Pretty much it is a suspension control system "which goes beyond the single components of Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and Automatic Stability Control + Traction (ASC + T)"

That said you can turn the DSC off and turn DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) on for a bit more fun by thouching the DSC button on your centre console. You can completely disable DSC & DTC by holding the same button down for around 10s, this leaves you with a car with no traction & stability control, so if your planning on throwing the back out through a few bends you would want to be well awake.

Ask your salesman to sign you up for the next Fascination 3 event. They will show you there how it works in a practical (and safe) hands on demonstration.
FYI .... Brisbane Fascination is on again in 2 weeks time. |

Best way to experience DSC is to just be rough with the car, give it a bootful at low speed with lots of lock and you will feel it cut power...Enter a turn at moderate speed and again give it a bootful, you will feel DSC grab the inner rear wheel and tighten your turn.
If you are smooth DSC will not be all that important to you, it is of most value in abrupt, rough changes of direction such as accident avoidance. Also with a high powered vehicle on a wet day it is nice to be able to lean on the power early through a corner and just let the computer handle the traction.

no the salesman wouldve told u not to worry about pressing the DSC button.
its always on. no need to turn it off, so dont worry about it (thats what he/she meant) it basically fixes you up with individual brakes etc when you lose it around a corner, or your wheels begin spinning. |
