Listening to Turbo/Intake/Exhaust Sounds vs Listening to Music
I know I am not alone in this, but I find it more pleasing to have the windows rolled down enough that I can hear the car while driving. I use to be a music junky in the car but its seens I have preferenced lisening to the car perform over music.
How about you ? |

I hate that my car came with hifi sound system. I never use it. There's nothing that compares to the noises my car makes. I absolutely love it.

Temp over 60 top down for induction/exhaust noises
Temp over 50 windows down for induction/exhaust noises Temp under 50 windows up music on. If I'm in the city it's usually music too, can't hear much over the taxis/honking/peds/police.

I did when I had my Corvette. Long tube headers, offroad X-pipe, Stingers...that car sounded right and really loud.
The BMW not so much. I like it that way. Sometimes I just turn off the radio and cruise in silence. |

I had a Magnaflow on my Audi S4 B6. Nothing beats the V8 sounds.
Not so in my 335 yet but I love the BOV that is standard on the N55, pretty loud too. Guess it will only get better once I rip out the cat and up the intake. |

I wish I could hear my turbos and exhaust . Nothing beats the sound of a straight pipe turbo diesel

I'd rather listen to music in the car on daily drives. If I drive and listen to the sounds my car makes I always want to keep it high in the RPM range and I find that magically my MPG decreases immensely.
Magically I also tend to get where I'm going faster, too.

It depends on my mood and the temp outside, but sometimes I do find myself turning down the music or holding a gear longer than usual just to hear that sonorous exhaust note!

Music. If I wanted to be a true narcissist and hear my engine all the time I would have gotten a Shelby GT500.
