Keep the 335i for yourself and put that $15k down on an E-Class. Though I love my bimmers, I do think E-Classes are wonderful for older people with the attention assist, lane departure assist, and the blindspot assist. I don't know your father but if he's a car nut I think he'd appreciate the bimmer but if he's not, you can't go wrong with a Merc haha

Uhh...anything more specific? Body style? German? Japanese? How fast is "pretty fast"?
A lot of cars come to mind in that price range... Evo, WRX, STI, Legacy GT, 03-07 Accord V6 6MT, TL 6MT, G35, E46 330i ZHP Civic Si, RSX-S (not really "fast" but fun to drive)

Your old man raised you well. I'm gonna venture a suggestion that no one thought of: A Pontiac G8 GT. I have a feeling GM isn't about to retire that Holden platform yet, so parts will be avail for years to come. But be ready for a huge depreciation hit.

LOL c'mon man. We don't want it to break down if it doesn't have to
God I love those 8's though. And they are rare. There are some for $15K floating around? This. I also love. VW FTW. They're nice and loud too

Evo would be my top suggestion. Quick out of the box and can be made fast for cheeeeep. Pontiac GTO or G8 GT are good ideas also. Both can be supercharged.

Are you wanting fast in a straight line or fast in the turns, or are you really wanting a fun car?
If new, might try a Honda Fit, while not fast, they are supposed to be fun. If used, might try a Mazda Miata, once again while not fast, they are fun. You live around urban sprawl, so it would seem that a small, agile car would be best as opposed to a large car. |
