Getting new rims. What to do with old ones?
Hi guys
Help me out here - my love affair with my m3 reps has ended and I'm now looking for new rims. When I do, I'll obviously be getting rid of the old rims - but I'm unsure of how i should go about doing it. I thought of flogging them on eBay or even here, but every rim has quite bad curb rash and I just don't think someone would want to put it on their car. What should I do? Where can I chuck them? Can I even get some money back for them somehow or some way? |

There's always some one who is likely to buy those rims.
The forums are the best place to start, then go to Ebay if you don't get any bites. |

Curb rash can be repaired, so no doubt you'll find a buyer at the right price. Putting them on ebay is certainly better than chucking them away.

just sell them and get some money back. no doubt there will be a buyer if your price is fair.
EDIT - what are you planning on getting? Last edited by sbce90; 09-08-2010 at 01:03 AM.. |

Ebay should do the trick. There is always someone out there at a price.
Need to stay off the curbs on the new set of wheels. Good luck with your new choice |

I think you should just put them out with the rubbish.
Where do you live anyway?

Seeing nice cars with scratched rims is a pet hate of mine and always leaves a bad impression of the vehicles owner. Be more careful in future.

So easy to have a momentary brain fade. I did with my last set and just ever so slightly touched the gutter enougth to rub the clear coat but not gouge the rim. People make fun of me for parking sooo far from the gutter and needing to get a taxi to take them to the foot path!!!
