Just failed inspection : Not Ready

Well, as the title says, I just brought my car in for an inspection with only the JB4 and DCI's installed. I originally left the tune in map 2, however after they tried scanning it the first time I put it in map 0 and asked them to try again. The OBDII scanner said "Not Ready" again. Also, I haven't cleared any codes in months. Any advice?

lol... your tune should not be active at all. Your readiness needs to be set by driving 50 miles or so without your tune active or CAN Clear on.

yeah it may take quicker depending on your car to set the readiness i guess... but mine was fine when i put it on map0 and turned canclear off for about 100miles before i knew it was going into service.

I'm assuming you have a procede. So for a JB4 all I'd need to do is turn off the tune?

Garage List
Had a similar issue recently. I had some work done on my car and some codes cleared. The best bet is to drive for about 50 miles at a constant speed without pressing on the brakes too much (a highway with no traffic) and combine with a little city driving for about 20 miles or so. Did the trick for me.

Set it to map 0, clear codes. Drive around for a day or 2. Then go get the inspection without a sniffer if possible.

Turn code clearing off, put in valet mode for 50-60 miles get inspected again. If you fail again you may have a legitimate hardware problem.

Hey there, I am having the same problem. When I went thru emissions it came back "not ready". I was told to turn CAN "off" on the procede was the only fix. Sounds like driving around on "0" for a few days will do the trick. Just double checking, please confirm.

Worked for me. I drove around for 50 miles but if you don't have time to do that follow the instructions posted in this thread.
