Need help. Lost Wrench in the right side engine compartment
Hi Guys,
I was trying to remove the 8mm bolt that holds the plastic covel on the right side (where the right temerature sensor is present) and in the process the wrench slipped and fell in the compartment bay shown in the figure. Looks like there is no outlet and it did not fall on the floor. I tried to at least see where the damn thing was but no luck could not even see it. When I took the car for a ride and when I rev it past 4K rpm in 1/2/3rd gears I can hear this metallic noise coming from the compartment bay. Any idea's, suggestions how I can get the wrench out?

drive really fast over multiple speed bumps... jk. try approaching it from different angles, be careful, there are a lot of things to cut you and get your watch stuck on

Create a large organized international drug ring. Give orders to kill lots of people and have generally no regard for secrecy. Wait for the SWAT teams to come and raid your house. Watch your AC vents for scopes, when you see one, run up to it and yank it out of the guys hands. Run down to your car and find the wrench. Pocket the wrench as it will be useful to shave down into a shiv in jail. Do your 40 years time. When you get out you will have a classic BMW free from wrench noise to drive around, though there will be no gas to power it most likely.

Or, just go to a local mechanic and watch them fish it out for you in 30 seconds... Probably better if its not a BMW dealer.
