E9X Proffesional Radio Bluetooth Issue

Has anyone else had problems connecting via Bluetooth to a professional radio in the e9x since the iOS 10 update on the iPhone??

I can pair and connect fine, but after a few seconds the radio shows the "connected screen" as it does if playing directions through maps but does not go away. The radio is then stuck on this screen till I turn off Bluetooth on the phone.

Very strange it was working perfectly before the update! I've tried re-pairing but it happened again 😕

I have a 2008 e92 335i with iDrive. Yes, ever since the update, when I try to make a call, it won't go through. I have to try to call first, then let it fail. Then I have to turn Bluetooth off, then back on. Only after I do that can I make a call successfully. If i try to cycle Bluetooth BEFORE trying to make a call, it doesn't work.

Now, if I call and it fails and I don't do anything, when I shut the car off, my phone will dial the number that failed all by itself.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

No, my car hasn't seen the dealership since late in 2015 when my turbos were replaced. Is there an update you know of that fixes this problem?

hi

for the multimedia unit there are seperate updates that you can install from USB.

You find the updates on the BMW website.

Since my car is a 2008, I cannot update my software via USB. Any other ideas?

Me too. Same problem. Looks like we're gonna need to go through the OBDII port somehow.

Is there an aux to USB that works with our E90 BMWs reliably? I have a CCC unit in a 2007 335i E90. I just got the car. Thanks!
