Driveline fluids for xi?? (tranny, dif, transfer case)

I like changing my driveline fluids usually every 15k miles and was wondering what everyone is using for tranny and dif? What about us XI guys who have a transfer case?

Anyone know the oil weights?

Has no one changed their driveline fluids themselves?

Between the fact that maintenance is included with new cars and that most people lease, I don't think you will find people that actually do fluid changes themselves.

On my X3, I change the engine oil/filter every 7500 miles, the front and rear differential fluid every 30,000 miles, the transfer case fluid every 30,000 miles, and the ATF every 35,000 miles.

I would like to know what was preferred. It sounds like most people stick with the OEM stuff or choose Redline.

Usually when filling a tranny, dif, or transfer case you want to make sure your car is on jack stands very evenly all way around. You then fill them up until the oil starts to flow out the fill hole a little and stop.

id suggest only using oem fluids. with the diff it doesnt have a drain plug so youd have to suck out the old and fill it. the transfer case is a drain and fill with the special oem fluid. the trans is a drain..fill..run and top off till it comes out once again wtih the special oem fluid...front diff is drain and fill(though ive never really touched a front diff on an 3 series before)
