Whats leather? Whats the rest.
In my last car, I had a combination of leather and vinyl in the interior.
Obviously you dont want to use vynil products for leather and vice versa. I have an E92 with the dakota leather. Now the question. I know the seats are leather. What about the dash, and the door trim panels. I plan to use Lexol and Zaino Leather for the seats, but unsure what to use for the dash. |

That's were you are wrong..you can use leather products for vinyl, but not vinyl for leather. The dash is vinyl, and most of the door panel is too. There is a section of leather on the door panel but just use the Z9/Z10 combo on everything for simplicity. |

Oops your right, u can use lexol on vinyl, but not vinylex on leather.
Thanks for the clarification as to whats vinyl and leather. I never use cleaner, just wet microfiber to wipe down, then use conditioner. I might just stick with z10 for this car, love the smell. |

I really like 303 Aerospace Protectant on the dash. Keeps it new looking without too much shine and helps keep the dust down. For my seats, center console "elbow" rest and door trim it's Z9/10.

I used to use 303, but I liked vinylex better, its all based on personal preferance. The surface of the dash does seem to probably better suited for 303, might have to switch if I dont like the way vinylex works.

I've found 303 to be a bit finicky at times. I use an old white sock placed over my hand and spray the clean white sock with 303 then apply it everywhere. A few refresh spritzes are necessary to get even coverage. I then use a MF towel to even out the heavier areas to even it out and it usually comes out perfect. I use 303 about once a month and after every weekly wash I wipe down the dash with a damp WW MF towel and it looks great for another week.
I haven't tried Vinylex but I do have some. I'll try that also and compare the two.

i am addicted to z9 - z10 from zaino... The smell.... And after the conditioner... i wait and when i get in my car.. i just sliiiiiddddeee in my seat, and it feels NEW and SMOOTH... PEEERRRRRFFFEECCCTTT.. and even thought it's a hot i open the windows just enough so that i can still smell the leather in a bottle z10.
PS when people get in my car they are like, hey did you just get your car because you could still smell the leather... Others ask "where is the pinetree for that smell??" And all i say is... that's just my seats, and there like wow leather smells so good when it's new. I'm 100% happy with zaino z9 and z10 I use z9 and scrub a little with a cloths... Then once i clean all the dirt, i pass with a damp cloth.... THen once it dries, i put the conditioner on... makes everything SOOOO smooth... Ok i'm just saying the same things... It's good!

I'd advise against the BMW Leather Care Lotion. Anything dealer sponsored I wouldn't use. Try the Zaino first before anything else. I have a feeling the BMW lotion will leave it looking ridiculously shiny and Armor-All-esque...

Thanks for your advice! Shiny and Armor-All-esque is the last thing I want and would have been an unwelcome surprise.

I used the BMW Leather Care on my previous E46 for years, and I have used in once thusfar on my E90 (only 2 months old). I stuck with it for the fact that it did not leave a shine and infact returned the seats to the matte look they had when I picked it up. Though it may not be the best, it does not leave a shine/residue and the smell is pretty nice (leathery).
