trying to wax/polish wheels, but they're getting worse.... HELP

well, i took off my wheels because i want to wax/polish them, i've read many threads about it, ao i went out, bought some wax, Dupont Teflon, and decided to give it a shot....

so i applied the wax, same as if im waxing my car, waited and removed it with a clean towel.... and the lip is cloudy as hell.... looks like crap... it looks like there's still something on there.... so i tried another 2-3 times in different spots, and same thing..... am i doing something wrong??? how can i get my lips like mirrors again??? (wheels are less than a month old)...

i did the interiors, same as the outside, every layer i apply, my cloth comes out black.... but there is still a lot of dis-coloring on the inside....

can someone help me out with this please???

wheels are brand new iforged sprints....

You need a very light (NON ABRASIVE) polish, not just wax.

I assuming the lip is polished, on regular clear coated wheels, I use Meguiars cleaner wax with good results, I don't use my zaino or anything on the rims. If it's a polished lip, you'll want to use a polish, not a wax to bring back the luster.

+1

I'm using Poorboys Wheel Sealant on the OEM #230's (clearcoated) and it's awesome. Pulled my wheels off the day I brought the car home and clayed them, then 2 coats of sealer. I was shocked that there would be so much crap in the clear on wheels, but the clay was the proof...

+1 on the PoorBoy's World Wheel Sealant. They work great, but you'll have to reapply it every once in a while...
