I think every person had their own definition of what is considered "excessive".
I just sold an Infiniti G37 coupe and purchased a '11 E92. Between the two cars, I would say the BMW has more wind noise at 65+ MPH. |

I also have wind noise that seems mostly from the driver side window on 2011 coupe. I haven't tried this yet but would resetting the window position make a difference? Maybe it's not going up high enough.
This leads to the next question, how do you reset the windows?? |

Okay. Took it to dealer. The mirror noise is replicated with no problem. (Windows open- 40-50 mph- whistle noise) However, after we close the windows and take it to highway, the SA did not want to pass 65 mph (speed limit). Although the noise was present, he said he cannot hear anything!! WTF!!! I said, I'd like to drive a demo. He said there is non available and gave me an appointment for Thursday for driving one. I think, I need to speak with another SA.

I think it might...its like a whistling noise from the driver mirror housing and around the window seals.

Wind Noise Drivers door
The wind noise is a problem especially over 100kms. Going back to dealer for the 4th time on Tuesday. I also understand that the windows on the new F.30's is quite thin and hence lots of exterior noise coming in

The trim and moldings around the windshield too will make noise if they're not in right

someone else on here mentioned this:
Take blue painters masking tape to your car. Try it around the sunroof, then around the windshield (outside of car). See if you can narrow down if/where there is a leak. |

I had this too on my car. Ends up the rubber seal where the door closes to was partially ripped off. Costed only $80 to fix but you're under warranty so it's all good.

I have this problem, starting at 60 mph. The dealership replaced the door seals and re - adjusted everything.......and it 's still just as bad. Not sure where to go from here, but it is a real irritant for a car of this price. It 's worse than my (also frameless) Cooper S!
