Had the tyres fitted to the rims today but my car is still with the dealer - actually that's not quite true - they took it to the panel shop after damaging the roof. Read the full story here http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1

YHI Australia (importer of Avanti Racing + others) imports a similar wheel to this which they call Beyton Mesh. Available from Bob Jane.
www.yhi.com.au Their is a good range of staggered fitment wheels for the BMW available locally now. |

The new wheels are mounted with Federal Tyres - 245x19x35 8.5xET38 on the front and 275x19x30 9.5xET30 on the rear. I purchased overseas because this offset has been specifically designed for the e92.

Sure there is a lot of ET45 wheels out there but specificly I mentioned the company YHI as they import at least 6 wheels in their 2007/2008 edition 29 catalogue specificly for the E9x in correct offset. Speady Wheels also has 2 options for the E9x in correct offset. I'm currently considering the Advanti "Vienna" http://www.yhi.com.au/advanti.html. A lot more options overseas for sure.

They look good - what are the available offsets? Most of the wheel suppliers including Speedy claim they have BMW compatible offsets - just because they fit on the car doesn't mean they are OK. Most are too conservative on the rear - ET38 to ET45 offsets. I wanted wheels that pushed out towards the edge of the rear guard. I'd have to fit spacers to any of these "compatible" wheels to achieve that. I also needed to ensure that the inner guard spacing between the wheel and the strut remained sufficient for the coilovers. Again, with the ET45 offset - you loose a lot of clearance.

Wheels and tyres sit in the garage awaiting the return of my car. Roof was dismantled yesterday (with assistance from BMW) to see if the damaged panel could be repaired. Alas - it is double skinned so the only suitable method of repair is a replacement roof panel from Germany. Estimate for repair is now another two weeks
This is the best I can do!

Spewing, well hopefully your giving that courtesy car a good old fashioned belting! If you've still got the 320i i'd be asking for something better if your stuck with it for another 2 weeks! With all these issues being none of your doing.
