how to check factory fitted options?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a way to check, via chassis no. or something, of what spec a car left the production line, ie, what factory options it had from day one.

thanks

Garry

You can also phone the BMW spec line, which has a record of the options the car left the factory with. HOWEVER it costs £1 a minute (so I used my work phone) AND it's not always right. Told me my car has folding electric mirrors and no heated seats, and when it arrived the other day it had no folding mirrors and heated seats...

Thanks for that - looks correct for mine. Apart from the "power" rating of "200" unspecified units for what should be 272 bhp... Interesting to see the full spec of a car bought SH.

Mines 100% spot on, right down to the 'windscreen with shade band' and the 'ski bag'

What hifi does it mention? could be just a alternate name.

You sure the trim's not been changed before you bought it?

Gloss black gets spoilt very easily and would be popular to change prior to a used sale.

No such colour as just 'Graphite', do you mean 'Sparkling Graphite Metallic' or 'Space Grey Metallic'? I think Space Grey was only available on E9x from about late 2008?

'Spaugrey Metallic' looks like 'Space Grey Metallic' in German (just guessing)

Space Grey was an option from day one. On E92 anyhow.

I think you're right dxb,

It was E91, E90 about LCI time they dropped Sparkling Graphite and replaced it with Space Grey.

Was Sparkling Graphite ever available on E92/E93?

Might explain J44KPR, he has an E92, so most likely Space Grey (Spaugrey)

200KW is equivalent to 268BHP or 272ps
