They are still designing stuff, it takes a long time to ship stuff back and forth for design trial and error.

I was getting "soon" like 4 months ago, thats why I had to go the route I did.

Check out the link in my sig OP.

Straight from the source -- Tiago commenting on their test FMIC

As soon as they are 2-3 weeks away, I'll look into starting a group buy

I think Tiago was talking about their new exhaust coming out. I could be wrong though.

Nope, you are correct. He was talking about the Exhaust at that time.

He was actually commenting on both in this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703550

mbradpage has been test fitting/real world testing both the VRSF exhaust & FMIC kits for a while. Tiago said that the exhaust will likely be the first thing to be released in August, but that the FMIC has been getting test for the past 8 months and should be getting released soon

I have VRSF DPs, and while I will be swapping them out soon, the quality of the materials they use is spot on. If they continue to expand their product line (exhaust, FMIC, etc) they could def make a corner for themselves in the N54/N55 performance marketplace.

OP why are you waiting? There are a lot of great intercoolers out today, proven, and made in the US. Like ETS. If there is anything I learned in the decade or so I've been modding cars it is too never wait for a product with no real ETA. I've had my fair share of waiting on products and months or even years later they never come out. Not to say this FMIC wont but what is worth the wait when there are so many options as good or likely better.

Get what works today, I'm positive you wont be missing much if anything.

Except few hundred dollars.
Sure VRSF beats anyone's price by far.
As they did on downpipes.

Nothing against VRSF, but this is just my take on buying anything -- When something goes into mass production, there's bound to be something wrong/that can be improved with the 1st gen. Cars, parts, software usually get upgraded shortly after they're released to the general public. Why?? Cause they find short comings with the product once it gets mass produced.

I'm sure the VRSF FMIC will be very good, but go buy something that's already proven itself. There are an overwhelming amount of options on the market that have addressed their design "flaws".

im tired of overpriced FMIC's.. its crazy.. im just impatient and heard VRSF will have a FMIC out soon and want a good quality bang for your buck intercooler.. these $700+ intercoolers are not for me. I wanted to go a "big tom" type but dont want the hassle of trying to arrange all the parts from different suppliers

You guys should hit Jeff at TGS up about a ets 5" inter cooler group buy. If y'all get 10+ people interested, I'm sure the price will be very nice. Damn fine intercooler, too, ran one on my e90

What about the cxracing offering? Seems to have gotten the parts together for a decent price.
