It will come set to Map 1 from the time you buy it. To change maps you would need to connect the JB to your laptop through the USB they provide and use the JB3 Interface to switch the maps.

thanks do i feel the power right away or does it take time for the car to adapt?

i heard on n54`s you had to reset the ecu and drive for a while before the car would be faster

Not really instant.. It takes about 100 miles to fully adjust

Ehh mine was pretty instant. Definitely aggressive at first but the power become much more tame after a few hundred miles.

Don't listen to this guy unless you wanna blow the motor. Those may be minute boost spikes but that sure as hell is not the type of boost you wanna be running without race gas/meth or a combination of both.

It will come preloaded with +2.75 psi above stock which is a very noticeable difference. I would just ride it on default until the stage 2 is released so that you can feel the jump in power as you go.

Do not run high psi with out race gas and supporting mods not only will you be taking a chance with reliability but you most likely wont be gaining any more hp.

With the jb4 the usb isn't a must but i would definitely get one for logging or to update the firmware.

As far as connecting and feeling power it should be instant but as it adapts it may get a little more power on a dyno.

At the track I flip through maps without any time in between and it reacts to the changes in boost instantly.
