2010 e92 are sold out -- no more factory orders :(

My SA tried to place a factory order for me today: for a e92 with M sport package. But he was unable -- he mentioned that there were no more builds until March.

Now he is going to try to search for something with at least the M sport package that might already be in production or on the way over to the States. He told me the probability of finding something in the color and the options I want is very small.

I remember seeing a post (right before Christmas) from someone who mentioned there were only 5 build slots available.

I guess the 2011 is coming very soon!

Sorry to hear that... Did you really want a 2010, or would you be fine with a 2011? In the latter case, I think it'd be worth it to wait for the LCI.

I really wanted a 2010. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm particularly attached to the current body style. They did find me one on a lot that I love.

You can still order an E92!

In ordering my E92 328 last week one dealership claimed BMW was not accepting new orders. Obviously this isn’t the case since I was able to order the car I wanted for PDC delivery.

It seems that each dealer is allocated a certain number of each model. Apparently it’s very common for dealers to trade allocation spots and this is what the CA at my dealership did. I know this took him a bit of time to arrange and I’m sure he would have preferred I bought a car in stock for delivery before month end. Or even one he could trade with another dealer for delivery now. So I would check with several dealers in your area become you accept “no more cars are being built”.

I think the way a dealer responds to your order request is a good indicator of how they treat their customers. It is nice to know some BMW dealers do a good job of giving their customers what they want.

Did you place your order with the dealer, or with BMW? You may have ordered a car with the dealer, and then the dealer changed the spec of a car they already had on order to match your specs. You're not getting a new ordered car - you're getting a respecc'd ordered car.

Just because you placed an order with the dealer doesn't mean it was a new order with BMW.
