Sealant/wax on carbonfiber?
Hi guys,
Is it ok to use a paint sealant or wax on bmw oem carbon fiber parts? asking cause i paid an arm & leg for the mirror covers, splitters & spoiler so abit paranoid. Thanks.. |

The carbon fiber pieces you bought have been clear coated so the best thing to do if you're on a budget is paint sealant (Blackfire or Wolfgang), apply 2 coats of it for longer lasting protection. If money is not an issue, I highly recommend you to apply a coating like GTechniq EXO, CarPro Cquartz, Opti-Coat or 22PLE for the best protection and lower maintenance.

As everyone has said, definitely protect the carbon fiber with a sealant or wax. Also if you get swirls, you can polish it just like paint.
