HELP! Michelin Tires - Down to 3
I have narrowed my tire selection down to two. I am trying to decide between the Michelin Primacy MXV4, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S? Has anyone heard about the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus? Are they better than the originals? Thanks for any and all help!

Yes, the AS Plus, according to Michelin, should be an improvement in wear as well as wet traction compared to the old Pilot Sport A/S. The Primacy MXV4 would be smoother, quieter, longer wearing, but with slower steering response and less dry grip.
What size tires were you looking at?

Thanks for the reply! i have an 06 BMW 325I. My wheels are 205/55 R16...
Right now i have the Bridgestone RFTs that came on the car. I hate them! They are so loud. I was also looking at the ContiProContact SSR's but had pretty much decided to ditch the run flats all together and just carry a can of fix a flat and get AAA... But if you have any other ideas or suggestions I would love to hear them. I am very much a novice at all of this stuff! Thanks again! |

You've got the right idea. Don't bother getting run flats again. I think those Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires are a good choice. Another good thing to have with you is a Mobility kit, which basically includes a compressor in addition to the tire slime you mentioned earlier.
