BMW Performance Exhaust Installed - E90 328i [HD Videos]
Thanks to Evan at Tischer BMW Performance for the great customer service! I'm extremely happy with this mod!
Initial impressions - Sound: Inside cabin - Just a bit louder then stock, and absolutely no drone. Outside - Quiet enough to sound classy, and a clean sporty growl when you rev it up (should get a little louder in a week or so). For comparison - it sounds closer to a stock 335i, but even better! Here is link to all the videos, both inside and outside: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...2&feature=plcp - Performance: RPM's come and go quicker. Improved throttle response. Car pulls much harder all the way to red line. It pairs up well with the Dinan Intake. Before installing the exhaust it felt like the engine was pulling in a ton of air, but struggling to get the exhaust gasses out. It feels much different then a stock 328i. - Looks/fitment: Polished, single wall and rolled edge tips. It's tucked neatly underneath (like OEM) and gives the rear a sporty, yet classy look. The fitment was perfect, and installation took a good hour with two people, and a lift. BMW Performance Exhaust System Turn your power loose. Like a world-class athlete, your BMW's engine needs increasingly more oxygen as it reaches its physical limit. To accommodate this need, BMW engineers looked to the other end of the vehicle, namely the exhaust system. The very act of controlling exhaust gases—to reduce noise and heat—restricts their exit. And overcoming this restriction, or back pressure, forces the engine to work harder, using its energy for something besides moving you forward. Enter the BMW Performance Exhaust System. This solution produces an outflow of exhaust gases that is so free (though still under control) that it markedly reduces back pressure. The flow is free enough, in fact, to actually pull more air into the engine. So while it's saving power at one end, it's increasing power at the other. RPM performance is heightened and engine performance is increased by up to 5hp and 3 ft-lbs of torque at 6600 RPM. The result is that your engine runs more smoothly, revs higher, and accelerates faster. And its new, deep, racing growl will be music to your high-performance-attuned ears. * Improves exhaust flow and subsequently engine performance by reducing back presure * Manufactured using cutting edge CAD and FEA technology to ensure optimum fitting accuracy and OEM quality * Manufactured from highest-quality stainless steel ensuring durability and corrosion resistance Install Pics

Music to my ears. Very nice.
I just noticed, but it seems like more 328i's are doing this mod compared to 335i's. I see more clips of 328is with the BMW PE, and not too many 335is. I am on the verge of pulling the trigger for this exhaust, but just wanted to hear more 335 e92 owners with this setup. Didn't mean to Sorry.

very nice!
2 questions, is the bmw performance exhaust different for pre-LCI and LCI? also are there separate model numbers for a 328i vs 328xi, or similarly 330i vs 330xi? |

We might do some more when my car is clean and it's sunny out. Glad Mike took care of your springs, Fabian. Nice meeting you. Your black 330i is really nice.

Guys,
I have the BMW performance intake and a Rogue Ikon exhaust. Where can I purchase just the resonator. I'm thinking the Ikon should sound similar the BMW exhaust with the resonator deleted. Thanks, Wig |

Thanks - I snapped the pic before he tightened everything down. It's on there. A local muffler shop may be able to do a resonator delete for you. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I am planning on purchasing the BMW Performance Exhaust in the next month or too as well. I would like to know if you get any error codes on the computer after swapping it out? I also want to install a performance air box/filter some time after that. Will this throw error codes???
I do not want to put things on the car that will void my CPO warranty. I want to stick with BMW parts just in case. Thanks, EricO |

Nice clips! If I ever did an exhaust, this would be my choice. It's aggressive without being obnoxious.

As far as the warranty it should be fine. Although I think a BMW dealer has to install it. I have an Injen intake and I know the airbox and some adjacent components are voided. I don't care it runs and sounds great.
