Edited 8/30/11: mounted both rear Blizzaks and have ZERO rubbing issues, even when bottoming out the suspension....and the profile matches the 35's in front, so my rears no longer look smaller than the front. Overall, very happy and now have the perfect winter setup!



Original question: Will this tire dimension work? I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer. I am a little worried about the 235 profile.....anyone know? These are Alufelgens SF-71's...

OEM diameter for rear is 30 profile for 19s but there wouldn't be issues with 35 profile

The Alufelgen setup that is going to work best is the 19x8.5 ET35 with a 235/35/19 up front and the 19x9.5 ET35 with a 265/30/19 in the rear. Going with the 265/35/19 in the back is not recommended as you will definitely run into rubbing issues. If that is your goal you may want to try out a 255/35/19 instead.

Well I have a set of 265 35 19 Blizzaks I bought yesterday based on the first reply. Will the sides or the top of the tire rub? I cant do anything about it if the tire rubs on top, i.e. against the strut assembly....

265/35/19 is an aspect too high for this car. Sorry bro, but I don't think you'll be able to make these work.

Will 275/30/19 rub? I would think the wider the tires u can put on the rear the better the control and launch per say.

I have that setup on another set of rims, 33 offset, and they rub a bit....I believe you'll need a fender roll if you have any offsets stronger than 33.

You should be able to fit the 275/30/19 in the rear if the car is not lowered. If the car is lowered or slammed, you may have some rubbing issues. As others have said, you can get rid of the rubbing problems by simply getting your fenders rolled as a solution!

My tire shop accidentally put 265/35/19 on my rear. It rubbed all over the place on every bump and looked just wrong on the car.

You'll definitely rub if you put on the 265/35/19 tires.

^^Will I rub on the SIDES OR TOP?? If sides I can just roll my fenders. If not, then I need a different solution. The tires are Blizzaks.......and no one has answered the specific question. Thanks for your replies.

Solved! I was suspicious about some of the responses that were posted since the M3 that use this setup have fender flares but do not appear to sit higher, so I decided to mount myself to see.....NO RUBBING with this setup!!!!

Best decision I ever made and now the front and back have the same setup so the wheels now look the same size. Thanks to all who responded.

I am looking at both 18 and 19 inch Alufelgen wheels at your website for my 2007 bmw 335i w/ sport package and 162 style (Cromodora) oem wheels, 18x8 34ET front, 18x8.5 37ET rear, with 225/40 front and 255/35 Michelins SP ZP (RFT). Car is not lowered or modified in any way. I would like a set of Alufelgen with Michelin SSP (non run flat), but I don't know which way to go, either 18 or 19 inch diameter, or with which ET or spacers? Center bore for the Alufelgen, I think, is bmw oem at 72.56.

Please, can you recommend wheel sizes in 18 and 19 inch diameters, ET, whether spacers are needed, and best tire sizes for each wheel? Thank you.

Yup 265/35 definitely do fit. If I had read this post earlier I would have let you know since I'm running them on Michelin's PS2 which are pretty fat tires to begin with. I run them on 10" +25 rears. Mine seem alot "fatter" than yours though. Your car looks great especially with M3 front bumper.

Thanks went through a bunch of crap getting a second set of tires thanks to the vendors advice but it seems none of them knew for sure....I already had doubts, especially after reading 2007 posts from a couple of vendors about 265's possibly rubbing, smhl. So I tried them on myself and no issues....
