Vacuum Leak?
Hey Guys,
Something I've noticed recently is that I have to push down harder on the brake pedal when starting my car after is sits a few hours or more. Seems more difficult to actuate the brake switch. Do any of you think I have a vacuum leak? BTW I took the car in for a new fuel pump last month and removed the Proceed and re-connected the vacuum solenoid lines. Maybe there is a leak that I created during the process. What are your thoughts? |

take your car in for service - its a known problem

I actually think I have this problem. The brake pedal feels really hard before I start the car when I go to depress it to hit the start engine button. Is this normal or is this what the bulletin is describing?

Oh, I have this problem too...I always thought I was just being too gentle on the pedal, but I could have sworn when I first got my car it didn't take much pedal pressure to get it to start. I've been using much more pedal recently to start the car, because I hate hitting the button and have nothing happen.
Thanks for the info |

You would be surprised how may people (usually women) have the car towed in due to this problem. It gets much worse in the cold weather. The pedal feels like stepping on a rock - not like it should. This bulletin just came out in november 2007 - my e90 330 had this problem - i lived with it for 6 months till i got rid of the car because at the time there was no fix for it -- my 335 has yet to have this problem.

One thing I noticed is more turbo lag in standard drive. It's like the car really jerks if I hit the throttle too hard. I need to concentrate on rolling the throttle on slowly based on the speed or my family is pissed off because their heads jerk around in the car. The new program in my car doesn't seem to be a smooth in throttle response "Bone Stock" or without the Procede. I'm not putting it in until I receive the V2 which will probably be the day I turn it in when my lease is up. |
