So what do i get next...
Hi all
I sold my e92 335i tonight..and im having thoughts on what to get next! I was set on a Lotus Exige S 240 for quite a while, and i am still tempted by one, However i have always had a thing for the TVR T350. i have seen a few with the Red Rose engine rebuild that make around 420fwhp. I have decided that i want something that is fast, But that also handles very well. I of course lost that for a while with the 335 being on 20's! Decisions.. |

budget?
If you are fine with a 2 seater, I dont think you will find much that handles better than a Cayman S. The TVR Power rebuilds on the Speed 6 engines are supposed to be awesome but I find the rest of the build quality to be lacking on TVRs 370Z? Z4M Coupe?

My Elise was super charged up to 220bhp hitting 60mph in 4.3 sec and driving it was better then sex. One word of warning though if its going to be a daily driver then you may want to consider something else as they are not the best cars to live with. I would consider an Elise or if funds can stretch an Evora (S) as the Exige is set up to be a track day car, a decent Elise like an 'R' or 'SC' will beat an Exige on 95% of our A & B roads but on track the Exige will always out perform. |

First of all, congratulations on selling 335i and I bet the new owner is over the moon with it. To add to the list of cars that you're considering how about a Noble M12 or 911 GT2/3 (996)? I prefer the Sagaris to the T350 and they have come down in price recently and if I do get a TVR next it will be one of those. The Evora is also a good shout as mentioned above.
Although to echo the point made by Kadesdad, I wouldn't want any of them on a daily basis as they are all a bit compromised in the luxury department but I guess you have already considered that. |

It would not be a daily driver. I am going to spend around 4-5k on a decent runaround car.
I have considered the Noble, as it is a beautiful car also..one point i forgot to mention is that i want something that not everyone else has. Yes there are a few Exige's around here but nowhere near as many as the porsche, subaru etc. Budget is around 25k 30 at a push! |

My friend had a TVR speed 6 and bits used to come off in your hand. He lusted after one for years then when he finally got one he only kept it 3 months. He claimed it was due to it being thrown together with prit-stick but I think it had more to do with him being scared of it. They are extremely tail happy.
