octane question for shiv or anyone
hey everyone!
so i was looking on www.vpracingfuels.com...in their fuel area they have in the description motor and research octane along side of each product. question is... which one should i be looking at when you recommend 100oct+ for the race maps? of course, i know unleaded. teri

here in the states we use R+M/2 which is Research + Motor then divide by 2. In Europe they go by Research alone for the most part. So you should be looking at the VP109 which is a R+M/2 of 105 or street blaze 100 and both are unleaded. Also their Motorsport 109 is R+M rated at 110 along with Motorsport 101, 103.

thank you so much! i live on maui and they sell vp fuels at the audi dealership. but not much of a selection and they didn't know what octane was what and which were unleaded so i wanted to make sure on the site before spending ~20/gal for the fuel.
