Issue w/ Power Locks

This weekend, after getting a Starbucks my key fob was unable to unlock the doors. The auxiliary lights still blinked indicating that the car thought it was unlocking/locking the doors, however it was not. Manual key was able to open driver-side door. Dash door lock button was also unable to unlock/lock doors. All doors except driver-side door were able to manually unlock from the inside when pulling the door handle. Driver-side did not respond to manually pulling the handle. Only responded to manually using key from exterior.

I searched the forum and found two likely causes, a blown fuse and the main actuator. I started by looking at the power locking fuses. Two of the fuses were blown, 56 (a 15) and 57 (a 20). Luckily I had a spare for each. After replacing the issue persists.

Any ideas, or am I going to be seeing my SA soon...

Review of Symptoms:

Remote key fob unable to unlock/lock doors
Dash button unable to unlock/lock doors
Auxiliary lights flash indicating lock/unlock
Manually unlocking doors from interior by pulling handle works for all doors
but driver-side
Driver-side only responds to manually using key from exterior
Found/replaced two blown fuses - 56 & 57, but issue remains

Any further assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Dealer replaced door actuators after test proved & changed door latches. Even the Bentley shows this as a common issue.

Ok. So I am guessing that I will be meeting with my SA. Hopefully it isn't too expensive.

Anyone else have any added suggestions?

Well I need new actuators... Anyone want to take a shot at the estimate?

If you do it yourself it's less than $100.

I had this issue last week it SUCKD pple climbing through my driver door to get in the passenger. Bmw dealer charged me $530 to fix and they said that was with a "special discount"...supposedly its over 700 to fix. You can fix yourself but if i read the diy it sounded like a 3 hour nightmare.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. Dealer just changed the fuses. I also think the dealer increased the 15A to 20A. Fixed w/o new actuators. Good luck.

there is a sib about this. it roughly says replace the blown 15 amp fuse for the locks with a 20amp and test the locks for ten times. wait a few so the actuators cool down and do test the locks again ten times. see which latch is causing the fuse to blow if its a front the dealer will replace both fronts. if its a rear they will do only the one acting up. this just happened to me and this what the dealer said.
