was wondering... what mods have people done so far? what have you got planned? have you chosen to stay stock?

I wouldn't mind the carbon fibre interior trim though. My E30 is pretty much done at the moment, although some solid urethane diff mount bushes are on the cards. The mod list for it so far includes. Rebuilt BMW M20 6 cylinder engine with enlarged engine capacity of 2.7 litres - Larger stroke 325e crankshaft - Forged low compression pistons - Custom billet steel connecting rods - O ringed cylinder head and block - Double valve springs - E30 325i cylinder head and inlet manifold - Garrett GT series turbocharger - Casted turbo exhaust manifold - Turbosmart external wastegate - Custom dump pipe and performance exhaust system - Air to air intercooler - Electronic blow off valve - K&N air filter Fuel injection system: - Bosch Motorsport injectors - Bosch Motorsport fuel pump Engine management system: - Microtech Ignition system: - M&W CDI ignition system - Magnecor ignition leads Driveline modifications: - Custom Sachs heavy duty clutch - 3.91 diff ratio with LSD - Custom tailshaft - Diff mount modification and reinforcement Suspension modifications: - Koni sports shock absorbers - Eibach sport springs - Aluminium Strut brace Brake system modifications: - Larger front brake discs - Porsche 4 spot front brake calipers - Braided brake lines - Performance brake pads My M3 is essentially stock, it has a set of 4.10 motorsport diff gears and some OEM CSL wheels. Next step is a suspension setup, leaning towards the KW V2's and a front subframe reinforcement to go with the rear end one. Also planning on ordering the Alcantara steering wheel, gear knob boot and hand brake boot to go with it. (I've got the M interior which is leather/alcantara). And that'll pretty much finish the car off, although I wouldn't mind the carbon fibre interior kit for it as well. It's a great thing from the factory to begin with. I'd love an exhaust but am worried I'll loose the "rasp" if I choose the wrong one. Which leaves the GTR which has got the most amount of work done. This is essentially finished and done with nothing more to do (hopefully). Engine is being dropped in again after the head work this week. ahh, fond of cars? hehe, that's alot of work there!
can't really say i have done much yet, appart from wheels/tyres and exhaust tips don't want to mess around too much with my car cois of it's age, but there are a few things to come, such as the bodykit, coilovers and brakes... maybee a different air filter, later down the track possibly a nice quiet exhaust... i want the same tone as i have now, but just a touch louder anyone else?

However, I am getting the gearshift paddles (hopefully) installed on the steering wheel this Monday. I have also ordered a PROcede which should arrive in the next 2-3 weeks. I may end up going for a "quicker" exhaust and LSD down the track. I would probably do nothing else after that. The X5 is 100% stock. Cheers. |

Please direct the rain NORTH ....... we need it badly. It's so dry in Brisbane that any signs of rain drop coming down evaperate before they hit the ground.
It's been threatning to rain all week but so far only drizzles. Hopefully we will get a good consistant rain that will end up in our catchment areas. |
