Advice needed - Which side marker clear bulbs for 07 e93?
I'm sure this topic has been covered before but I couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for. I just wanted to replace the amber bulbs in the side markers(those are the horizontal assemblies on the door right?) with some white/clear ones. Nothing fancy needed just a couple little bulbs.

Hey thanks for the suggestion but I am concerned that when the light is off it would look awkward with a yellow blob visible? I was hoping to avoid LED if possible, but amber LED might look alright. I was really looking for essentially an identical to OEM bulb in every way except for it's off appearance as clear/white/silver and not an amber bulb when off.

However, when they are high quality components that meet or exceed OEM performance I would disagree. If its any consolation every manufacturer is converting to LED's on all their lighting applications. They are brighter, safer, easier to see (notice), run cooler and use less energy. To the majority on OEM applications they are also more appealing. We have a lot of customers and friends that enjoy LED applications on the Porsche Daytime running lights and Audi's for instance. They new BMW's LED turn signals are very appealing to our customers too. To each their own though. Enjoy your car as it only matters what makes you happy. |

I like that LED's are more efficient but I think the ultra sharp brightness just gives it that hospital look. It's like the difference between a traditional filament lamp and a florescent light I guess. It's just not as pleasing to the eye and gives it that bargain look I think.
I think the technology will get better to where it'll look just as good and be as efficient in the future though. |
