Airstrip Attack: JB4 335i vs Procede 2 335i (Runway Race)
BIMMERPOST NEWS Airstrip Attack: JB4 335i vs Procede 2 335i (Runway Race) We continue our coverage of this past weekend's Airstrip Attack. BIMMERPOST sponsored this past weekend's Airstrip Attack, a runway shootout race event held at the Trona Airport near Death Valley, California. The event saw some of the most powerful European, Domestic, and Japanese cars from California go head-to-head on a half mile stretch of tarmac. The classes ranged from 400hp+ all the way to 1000hp+. The following race featured two 335i going head to head - a JB4 powered 335i vs a Procede 2 powered 335i. Modification details for each car are listed in the video. *** NOTE: No tune(r) vs. tune(r) arguments will be tolerated in this thread and will be deleted immediately, with infractions for those involved *** We'll be posting many more shootout videos from the event, so stay tuned to our homepage for updates. slight advantage to JB4, but if taken as a whole, the ProCede is a better choice (for what is the outcome)
but Technically i dont know what would be the pro/cons of each setup on the car and its longevity...

Camera car has more mods/ less weight however the procede car was auto so it had an advantage on shifts.
To me it looked like the procede car won.. But it wasnt a very comparison, next time do auto vs auto and have the same mods! |

looks like neck and neck -
- I take it we're look'n at the SG E92 6AT (procede) pull on 6MT toward the end there. how heavy is that extra seat - how much more HP do u pick up with that weight savings? - any info on what both bimmers were boost'n at?

lol yeah that's my car in the video vs SRanch who is the camera car. Both cars are N54.
My mods are: Procede with Stage 2 maps, DCI, 65/35 meth/water ratio and RR 2.5" dp with a 6AT, LSD and full weight. SRanch has JB4, 100% meth, intercooler, dps, dvs, exhaust maybe or just bigger tips, drag radials, no passenger seat and 6MT. Good observation around the end of the run...as I actually short shifted 4-5 at 5,700 RPM and then accidently hit the kickdown button so it shifted back to 4th and was about to abort (you can see I drop back a bit toward the end) but then SRanch misshifted 4-5...and so I shifted back to 5th floored it (made sure not to hit kickdown again) and ended in a tie. I ran the ESS VT1 e92 M3 and it also ended in a tie. It was a fun day!

I did a log earlier in the day and was spiking to 18psi after shifts but tapering to around 15psi at redline.
The tune was pulling a lot of timing as it was warm and we were waiting a long time w/engine's running in the staging area. My IAT's were OVER 50c with meth flowing! On my second run of the day, my meth actually boiled over and so it didn't flow at all and I logged 80c intake temps. Ouch.
