Will be ditching my runflats soon for normal tyres. I have thought about buying a spacesaver wheel, but not happy about the available space in the boot of my convertible. I am now thinking of treating my new tyres with something called Tyre Magic, it seems to tick all the boxes. This stuff repairs punctures as they happen. Anybody had experience of this product? Cheers.

Just keep a can of foam and one of the small Ring compressors in the boot. It's a simple, cheap, tried and tested solution.

I have read somewhere that is not a permanent repair. It seems that is only a get you home solution. I have also read that the tyre cannot be repaired after using the foam. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Correct it is only a temporary repair but they can be repaired after foam. The problem you have is that firstly your tyre shop will just want to sell you a new tyre and secondly they don't want to be bothered cleaning out the foam. If that happens just move on to a decent independent tyre place who should help you out.

I've never had experience of the tyre magic product that you mentioned but to be honest I'm not so sure I would want to be driving around long term on a Tyre Magic fix. I'd still get it fixed properly or replaced should a puncture occur.

Of course neither are permanent repairs my Freind. I have a coupe, NRFT of course bc I put performance over anything. Get yourself a tire pressure kit...it will get you home...and then you can use a tow to get to the closet tire shop...simple. Ok

We all hope u would never need to be in that situation.

No compressor needed as gas in can inflates the tyre and temporarily fixes the puncture

I just carry a couple of cans of Tyre Weld. Never had to use it on a car but I did use it once when I had a Vespa (don't laugh too hard!) and rode around with it for about two months, different kettle of fish though I know but it does the job.

I have both forgot to mention. Sometimes the can failes but seals...that's why i got both bc it happened to a Freind of mine so I got both just in case.
