Good Bay Area indy shop?
There's an M3 i'm looking to pick up in Redwood City (is this considered Bay Area?) but I would like to have it taken to an indy BMW shop for a pre purchase inspection. I'm in socal and if all things work out, I'd fly up and drive it back down on the PCH

There is a BMW dealership in the area. Peter Pan BMW. It's in San Mateo.
http://www.peterpanbmw.com/ Call them up and they might be able to do something for you.

OOPS!!! I didn't read your post correctly. You asked for an indy shop. Try this.

I take all of my BMWs to Kahler's in Dublin. It might be a bit of a drive though from Redwood City, but their shop does specialized in German autos. They handle a lot of BMW, Audi & Porsche at their shop.
Here's their site and Yelp info: http://www.kahlers.com/ http://www.yelp.com/biz/kahlers-werkstatt-dublin-2 |

i'll look into topline and autohausschmid as they're closer. seems like a lot of recommendations to shops in the the pleaston/dublin area from other forums as well. unfortunately the shop won't let me take the car that far out.
