Where its made makes quite a difference, which will effect the quality of the core as well as the craftsmanship and weld quality.

Worm clamps are junk so you will need to replace those.

Will it work, probably. Is there better, definitely. Would I buy it, never.

Solid brand, an emerging company in the N54/5 world. I have their FMIC and have nothing but good things to say about it, instal was fine for 7" and my charge temps are being pinned down very nicely. A decent whp gain up top too, all is good!

Nonsense, we need to get you a 5inch exhaust on the truck, bigger turbo, and methanol injection.

May need a built trans (auto) or clutch if you are manual though.

I have no dog in the fight of intercoolers so I can't just name one out of the respect of the many manufacturers I sell for. I'll shoot you a PM with some options though.

When it comes to intercoolers I wouldn't cheap out on these cars. I like ETS, ER, and Helix's options.

AMS is a good option as well and IMO the best FMIC on the market right now is the ER Competition FMIC (anodized black for the sexy look)

It has a 4" exhaust, down pipe, bigger IC piping and a tuner set at 110hp. Its not built to be a fast truck I needed the power because of how big the tires are lol

I'm not going to be the one to start a war on which is best or better in the realm of intercoolers.

All I'm going to say is there has yet to be an aftermarket intercooler that performed worse than the OEM one our cars come with. Even the 'worse' aftermarket one still beats the OEM one by a mile. Just saying.

Like Mike and Jeff have said though, you pay for what you get.

By that statement you are saying that an aftermarket IC is a must

i have it, its great. Seems like it fits in your budget pretty much and it's much more quality vs. the godspeed one.

If you plan on doing any type of power modding beyond stg1 type maps, either a fmic or meth is basically a must. The oe unit is insufficient.

Has nothing to do with not having the money for it. Its either I mod or I dont and I like to get the best bang for the buck. So if people are getting these and are happy with it then why not?
Question is thought are these tested to perform close to or just as good as the more expensive ones

What other mods can lower engine temps or intake temps? Other than meth though

How so? I go to steak houses if I want a steak instead of some classy resturant where Im paying $30 for a 9oz steak, if that makes any sense.

Just cause I have the money to get the pricey ones doesn't mean I want to pour it all into mods if theres something out there that can perform and is cheaper.

Totally agree. I could buy the crazy priced AA race intercooler but i wont. Im looking at Big Toms/ VRSF/HGelix coolers. Helix seems to be the best, but costs quite a bit more than the competition.

In the end its your decision, if it was me id choose the VRSF or Helix depending upon how much i want to spend. I still havent decided lol
