Duff adverts, daft offers
Having a rant today.
Fed up being at home with swine flu and thinking how can I spend £1000 on my car. Hmmm Lets start with a remap... 3 hours later I am fed up with companies not answering phones , not having connected phones (despite updated web- pages) or the ones that do call back/answer quoting different prices to that advertised "Ah yes, its more as yours has the pink fu-fu valve modification..... Then do what shold have done - log in here. Whats first thing I see - link offering "discounted" remaps. Yeh right. Discounted from stupid to daft I bet. Hmm not bad price. Lets ring and be told the offers off - no, still valid. Price - same as quoted. When do I want to book it in - thats fine. Many thanks to company involved. Will let you know how the new driving experiance goes. Ian |

According to this article,...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8375922.stm Up to a third of children in some areas may have had swine flu, but many will not have been ill I thought it was meant to be highly dangerous... |

OK firstly, good first post.
Secondly, I hope you chose Evolve, but if not, anyone advertising here is decent. Thirdly, Swine Flu, dont get me started on that shit.... but... has anyone read about the Ukraine, it seems people are dying in their thousands from some kind of black death - but noone gives a fuck because it didnt happen to a single mother from Newcastle. I probably hate someone as a result, maybe the BBC, maybe Labour, probably both. Matt |

Your a lucky one. Although tested and verified, cant really say you had Swine Flu.

You picking on the Geordies again? Howay man, give it a rest will ya just found this... As you are probably aware a massive earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Newcastle in the early hours. At the epicentre in Byker, victims were seen roaming around aimlessly muttering "Why aye mun, whoars mee beer leek". The earthquake decimated the entire area causing about 30 quid worth of damage. Several priceless collections of ashtrays from the Balearics and Tenerife were damaged beyond repair. Three historic areas of burnt out cars, some over seven years old were disturbed. Many locals were awoken before their Giro's arrived. The Evening Chronicle reported that hundreds of locals were confused, bewildered and still trying to come to terms with the loss of Ladbrokes. One resident a Miss Sharon Smith, a 15 year old mother of six said "It was a shock to my little Chardonnay Mercedes. She came into my room crying and put me and Winston off our stroke. But my youngest two Tyler Morgan and Brooklyn Romeo Rainbow luckily slept through it all. I was still shaking whilst watching Trisha the next day". Apparently looting, mugging and car crime did carry on as normal. The Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4000 crates of lager into the area to Help the stricken locals.. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have recovered large amounts of belongings including benefit books, jewellery by Elizabeth Duke at Argos and finest bone china from Mad Harry's. *HOW CAN YOU HELP?* This appeal is to raise money for food and clothes parcels for those caught up in the disaster. Clothing is urgently needed and amongst the most sought after items are: · Fila or Burberry Baseball Caps · Kappa Tracksuit Tops (his and hers) · Adidas Trackie Bottoms 3/4 length, · White Socks · Rockport Boots · and anything else from the Donnay shop Food parcels must take into consideration local Geordie tastes and should Include Micro Meals, Pot Noodles, Baked Beanz, Super Noodles, Sausage Rolls and Greggs pasties for the babies. Special brew or Thunderbird would also be gratefully received. Every little helps. Remember: · 22p buys a biro to help fill in a compensation form · £2.00 buys chips with curry and blue Panda pop for a family of nine · £5.00 buys 20 B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of a grieving ten year old Please don't send tents for shelter as the sight of posh accommodation is unfair on the residents of Newcastle. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP Last edited by Andrew@DTUK; 11-24-2009 at 06:18 PM.. |

Seriously, it effects different people in different ways, as does normal flu. Some people have a higher resistance to it than others meaning they have a completely different experience. Saying "if it wasn't tested and verified, it wasn't swine flu" can be turned on it's head as well: Meaning the thousands of "new cases" are probably just scared people such as youself thinking they're all going to die. They can't test everyone! I'm sick of hearing about it personally, thousands die each year of normal flu, is that blown out of all proportion? Oh and yes I do think I had it, along with my wife and 1yo, back in July. Did it knock me off my feet? No, but it sure was a weird "cold" that lasted for about 2 weeks.

Exactly, so all the scare stories in the press and published by Brown and his cronies are just that, scare stories.
All I know is someone at the drug companies is making a killing

And some virus is also killing. The vaccination was patented back in 2006 and is only licensed for use in a pandemic only.

Hi guys,
Hmm bit of a grenade thread I think. Explodes causing a variety of damage in multiple directions Re "flu" Had all the symptoms - temperature, shivers, sweats, sore throat, painful glands, stomach pains/indegestion and the cough all over a 3 week period. Quack will not say a definate yes, but not allowed to come into surgery... And if anyone says that by not diagnosing it the govt can keep figures down I shall be forced to say "tisk how cynical - this govt massaging statistics? Never" Re Vehicle, yep another oil burner. Currently all factory bar a K&N filter - boy that was a game to fit - 2 hours! And yes will be going into Evolve tomorrow (Thurs). Plan is to fit HID lights and get rid of the cart tyres (sorry run flats) but to stick to factory 18" rims. Ian |
