They were good but I've had better in the past.

I was running the UR catted DPs, but then I purchased the catless DPs. (Can you believe I installed these twice?)
I'm going to add the high flow cats to the middle of my car instead of on the DPs. I'm thinking that this would provide better results.
great times mr 5:

adding catless dps should give u at least another 10whp.
also, do you have DRs?

adding both of the above and u shave off what at least another 2 tenths?

Terry's time is completely legit with his JB2HHR on race gas. He ran in the 11s 3 times. His 60 foots are key to these times. He was on slicks for heaven's sake so this is one of the reasons for the 1.7 60 foots.

I just have some questions for hotrod, because when I left, he was waiting to use Terry's tires to see if his times would get better. I personaly don't think he did the 12.2 on the stock runflats.

He said that he put on terry's DR's for the 12.2 run...

Congrats Terry & Mr.5, those are Great Times!
I'm curious to see what a Dinan Tune would do with a similar setup. Catless DP's, Intake & DR's!

Thanks man!
What I usually do is go by feel. I know that's not really the good approach, but it works for me.

People ask me all the time about what rpm I launch at, and I honestly don't know. I just keep blipping the throttle until I hear a good sound. Once I feel the sound is right then I launch at whatever RPM that was indicated. It's mostly in between 2k and 3.5k rpm.

My piano lesson teacher always said that I have a good ear.

Great driving Mr. 5. You are probably around 3k or so when you launch. That is what I found best on the manual tranny. Of course when your using slicks that may be different. I'm very tempted to try some DR's this spring at MIR

Do I have to repeat myself? I'm not hating. So stop trying to paint me as such. Hotrod's run is not the same. Different mods, different driver, different (slower) times. I'm talking about the exact same mods, running the exact same times. Almost 4/10th's slower in the 1/4 is a big difference.

Call me hard to please, but with all the sketchy sheit going on lately it takes alittle more evidence to me than just a timeslip by a vendor. (See: VIP) DISCLAIMER: I'm not comparing Terry to VIP as that would be doing Terry a great injustice comparing him to those scumbags. But thanks to people like them, I'm expecting a lot more out of vendors to justify their products so we don't get hype and/or lies. It's not anyones fault because of VIP's screwup's but I think they've cast a dark cloud over other vendors because of their horrid business practices.

Once again, I love Terry, nice guy but that has nothing to do with how fast his car is. I remember not so long ago when any tuner posted dyno's people would question them. First with Terry, then with Shiv. What happened to people wanting to have the runs verified by someone else WITH THE EXACT SAME MODS? That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying he's scamming or BS'ing, or he's using smoke and mirrors. Show me someone running the same time with the same mods and he will get my (for his mods, I respect him for his contributions already).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting 3rd party verification if I'm going to spend my money on their product. It's the vendors just to justify me spending my money on their product. We all know how dragtimes and dynos can be tweaked (again see: VIP). Some of you may be quicker to by into a product and that's completely fine! Some of us are more skeptical. Who are you to tell me its wrong to feel that way? It's my money.

Regardless, they are impressive times. Still waiting to see someone else in the 11's without NOS (coughVIPcough).

Who has the same mods?

Catless DP's, JB2HHR, Dyno Glory intake, 97 octane, ET streets, and the steptronic....

I dont believe anyone does..... So obviously you can't duplicate them....
