First, off I have an AP for the MS3 and ATR has helped pushed that DI platform. If/When is Cobb planning on releasing ATR for the 335i? Pandora's box will finally open with some tuning software that allows end users to tune their car

That was already mentioned in the thread about the ATP - the ATR will come out in the next 1-2 months.

Ok, something weird...

I wanted to log this morning on the way to work but no dice, it wouldn't do it for me. Funny thing is, we had a cold front come through this weekend and there is very low humidity.

Could humidity have anything to do with it because now that I think about it, it does it more before, after, or during a rain shower. I am in FL as well so it is humid most of the time.

As soon as I can get it to reproduce the issue, I will get you the log.

ETS 5.0" FMIC,catless dp´s,dci

Hi

Can anyone confirm, if the BMS O2 DP fix is needed when catless dp´s + Cobb AP to have the obd to be"OBD ready" at inspection?

I mean if AP expands the O2 min-max values in ECU so high, it wont trigger any CEL light, which AP would of course clear automatically?

Planning to install the DP´s,FMIC,DCI + Cobb AP soon...but not sure if i should install the O2 dp fix at the same time,or if needed to be installed at all....

That's funny, I didn't realize that the dp fix was needed. I assumed since the AP eliminated the CEL, there wasn't the need.

Am I correct in thinking that when the v400 maps are released and we update our APs, we then go to the car and plug it in, select 'tune/tuning' and then load one of the new maps to the car?

I have the v301 Stage 1 right now so what happens to that when I overwrite it with v400 Stage 1? The AP doesn't assume this is my stock map and overwrite that does it?

^ That's what my belief was. Here in Massachusetts, they don't do sniffer, just OBD2 plug-in.

You've got it. It will just flash over the v301 map. Should take 2 min or less.

That's what I like about the Cobb AP

Just curious, has anyone with stage 2 (or +) encountered a Stage 2 STI at the track? If so, how did you do?

i've got a couple of friends with stage 2 STis.

one of them is a protuned 2011 sedan, the other is a 2005 OTS stage 2. I've only ever run them from a roll, 60 punch and my stage 1 135i (i don't remember which map, i think v201) put 4+ cars on them by 110. A stage 2+ 335i should put 2 cars on me on the same race I would think.

Wish I could run my old STI... had turbo back w/ protune. At lower speeds, it felt faster (prob due to gearing) but above 60ish, my 335xi feels much faster.

My old stg2 GR STi and my buddy's stg2 evo X were both about even with the stg1 135i 2nd and 3rd due to gearing, I walk the evo SO hard through the end of 3rd and throughout 4th.

For example a fair gear to gear roll race between a GSR X and my 135i is me in third, the X in 4th - try that and see which feels faster I can't speak for a 335xi though, not sure what the gearing and final drive look like.

The AP eliminates the CEL but it does not fool the DME into completing the O2 readiness test, essential for OBD-based emissions inspections.

The "DP fix" (stop calling it that, it's a freaking O2 simulator) is needed to alter secondary O2 voltage levels to achieve readiness.

90% of questions on this thread are asked every 2 pages, so just go back a few pages and you'll likely find your answer
