it seems like if we do wanna go the double din route that we should stick to a quality unit from kenwood or pioneer and spend the $

Anyone know what the approximate cost is to do a full iDrive Nav retrofit?

Hey, for me it's rather simple. Either I have a stock navi or I don't and with the way the electronics are on BMWs, the most I would do is go for a portable navi or settle for the navi on my iphone. It got me all the way from Washington state to Virginia with no issues. Next Bimmer will be fully loaded.
