Exclamation Help! DME Power Wire Connector Snapped!

Hey Guys,

So I was putting my Procede back in after having some work done and the "spoon" connector shown below snapped off due to metal fatigue.

Anybody ever have this happen? Where besides a dealer can I get that type of connector, and if so is there a special crimping tool that's needed?! I reached out to Vishnu as I'd imagine they'd have a lot of these lying around but being on the East Coast it'll be days before they arrive. I've got the connections Jerry-rigged right now with a freaking zip tie LOL. Just went for a drive and it seems to be holding, but I'm scared to go too far.

Freakin' modding. I should just leave my car alone and drive it!

TIA
Sickem

I would take the one off the procede .
And then crimp the new one onto the procede.

Thanks, yeah this was my thought, too, and is definitely an option but I have no idea how to uncrimp it from the procede and recrimp it onto the car's harness.

that has happened to quite a few people. Just order the part from Tischer, might even finds someone local with spares, as I said this is common. I keep about 5 handy at all times.

worst case scenario, you can cut the wire with the crimp (from procede harness) and cut the bmw wire and just twist the wires together. Thats if you really need it up and running and cannot crimp it.

I've got the two connections zip tied together right now. LMAO. AutoCouture is gonna try and fit me in tomorrow to fix.

I ordered this part you mentioned, 12527512135, which no dealer or parts store will have on hand most likely, and it was too small. As I had JB4, Terry sent me another one. So it's good you have contacted the seller to get another one.

Good to know, thank you. I'll figure out the right part no. and have a bunch around. I recommend everybody that uses a piggy do this! It seems obvious, but parts are gonna break and it never happens at a good time!

I'm at autocouture motoring now. Despite being booked today, they took me in to get me sorted. These guys are lifesavers.

Anyone ordered this part number? Is this the right one?

Im assuming its simple to do?
Cut off old one and crimp on new one? Any special crimping tool needed or will pliers work?

I used a set of needle nose pliers to crimp new spade on and a small screwdriver to pull the broken spade off the wire. You dont need anything special.

I cut the vishnu wire and the broken spade off the stock wire and crimped a new bigger spade terminal on them both, and hooked them up. It's pretty easy wiring but it does freak you out when you first break that stupid thing.
