Thanks for sending this info over, I really appreciate it. Do you know if any forum members have access to carfax reports? The VIN data is very helpful, but I also need to make sure a car I am looking at is clean, no accidents. Thanks again for your help!

Funny thing, there was a topic like this couple months back and no one bothered to reply.

But if it's a dealership they should provide a carfax for any of their cars for free but if it's a private seller then ask them if they have carfax on the car, if they don't then quit being cheap and just pay for the carfax, it's only $10-20.

Not being rude or mean but don't buy an expensive car if you can't even spend $20 for a carfax.

Pulling a carfax costs $40. And it seems most private party cars have been in an accident. $40 per carfax adds up fast. Im not being cheap by asking if anyone on here can pull carfaxes, I am being smart.

Thanks so much for pulling this carfax. I knew it was a good idea to post on this forum, great people like you. I also found someone else that is willing to pull them for $5 each. Sure beats paying $40 each! Many times dealers have unlimited access, so I figured I would find a dealer willing to pull reports for a small fee.

Anyway, so this seller claimed no accidents, and immaculate condition, no scratches. They were probably right about the no scratches since it likely has a brand new paint job from being in 2 accidents!!! Ridiculous... My search continues.

By the way, I am looking for a 2006 330i w/ Sport and Premium. My old car that I never should've sold

Agreed. Thanks for your help as well! There are tons of awesome people on this forum. I miss my E90 friends and more importantly my E90!

Sold it because I was moving and didn't know if I was going to have a garage at my new place. Didn't want to park it in the squeezed spaces and have a new door ding every morning. Thought it would be easy to find another when the time came. It isn't so easy to find another but I have a garage now so I am keeping my eye out for an 06 330i. My last one was Jet Black w/ Black Leather. Auto. Sport & Premium.

If enough people mooched free carfax reports they would go out of business. They provide a valuable service, don't cheat them out of their due compensation.

I most definitely did. They purchased the car a year ago from an auto broker, Kero's, and claim to know nothing about any accidents. Well, they know now, so hopefully they are honest with the next potential buyer.

I love how they purchased the car one year ago and couldnt push a sale through yet... then claiming they know nothing about an accident when someone runs a carfax on it..
