JB4 question.

For all the JB4 owners out there, running with just the DCI's, and no other mods, which map number do you prefer, I guess the choice is map no.1 or map no.5?

I would run map 5 with shell v power 99 in your position.

You should see similar boost levels to map 1 but it will increase/decrease depending on feedback from the timing. You need to do a few runs in 3rd gear or higher from 4500rpm (I think) onwards for it to adapt.

Yep map 1 or map 5.

map 1 will boost to 13psi

map 5 will boost anywhere from 11-16psi depending upon conditions and fuel octane.

Map 5 felt better to me when I just had DCI, but best to try it out and see what you prefer.. do some logs too.

The JB4 USB Cable is a proprietary USB cable and a standard RS232/USB cable with the JB3/JB4 will not work and may damage the processor.

Any USB extension lead can be used the JB4 Cable

Thats right I asked if someone could recommend a USB EXTENSION, which will plug into the lead you supplied me with last week!
The supplied proprietary lead falls a little short for what I want to do.

What you got planned? Not much call for extension leads.

Yep, any normal USB extension and your good to go.

JB4 doing the business for you ?

I run this setup and prefer map 2.

I'm still not sure about map 5, I've been running this for a month and still find it a bit jerky.

Map 2 is for bolts ons but if your not knocking and have no glow codes then your good to go. Keep an eye on your timing in the summer though

I found 2 was fine and also more predicatable overall.

On the RR there was little difference in output, just the way it feels to be delivered.

I should add that although I prefer map 2, I only run it in short bursts, when I'm showing off etc.

I normally run map 1 day to day. Anyone that I take out says that with map 2 you get pushed back in the seat harder

Do you know how much they are to get fitted, and how long it would take to do?

Thanks
